Here you will speak your first sentences in German.
Little or no previous knowledge? The A1 German course is right for you if you are a beginner.
Whether online or on site: Learn the basics of the German language and prepare yourself for important everyday situations. You will learn vocabulary in complete sentences and practise basic grammar - with role-plays and varied teaching materials for listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Goals: What will you be able to do after your A1 German course?
- conduct and understand the simplest everyday conversations.
- introduce yourself and other people, ask them questions about themselves and answer such questions yourself - for example, where they live, what languages they speak, what hobbies and what profession they have.
- understand and use everyday, frequently used expressions and simple sentences relating to specific needs - for example, asking for directions, asking for help or making appointments, whether with friends, at the doctor's or at work.
- have a basic vocabulary of around 1,000 words.
Requirements: What previous knowledge should you have?
At language level A1, the only requirement is that you can read and write in Latin characters. In general, however, we will work with you to determine the language level that suits you best.

Duration: How long does an A1 German course last?
The individual A1.1 and A1.2 courses each last 48 lessons of 60 minutes. In a total of 96 lessons, you will learn everything you need to know for the entire A1 German course level according to the language levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The DeutschAkademie German courses last 4 weeks, at all levels A1 to C2, including the intensive courses. The only exceptions are the semi-intensive courses (8 weeks) and weekend courses (16 weeks). Private courses and company courses are arranged individually.

The price for an A1 intensive course on site varies depending on the location. Online intensive courses cost €299.00 (4 weeks, 4 days/week, 3 hours/day, 48 hours). You do not pay a registration fee.
